Environmental Finalists for Bristol Live Awards

We're finalists for the BristolLive and Bristol Post Awards! This is brilliant news, not only to be up for an award in our home city, but the fact that the award is in the environmental category, an issue we care deeply about.

The award is given to the company which has shown outstanding commitment to managing the environmental impact of its business or to an environmental business that is benefitting the wider community. Such improvements include actions to; reduce emissions, waste or noise; improve raw material use or transport efficiency; clean up land; and reduce the impact of the business activities on neighbours.

We are constantly striving to reduce our impact on the environment. Our current environmental credentials include selling only biodegradable glitter which is derived predominantly from non-GMO sustainably farmed eucalyptus trees. Our newest version, Pure is the world's first 100% plastic free glitter!

We also donate 10% of our net profits to environmental charities, City to Sea and Surfers Against Sewage.

We are on an eco mission to reduce extra waste from our production process, asking our manufacturers to send us no plastic packaging as well as using recyclable materials in our glitter boxes and postage materials.

Recently we went to our local recycling centre to learn more about what happens to our waste and how we can better dispose of our recycling. We also attend local beach cleans, do impromptu litter picking and build EcoBricks with any plastic waste which we may have in the office.

We're hopeful that all of our efforts will be recognised by the Awards but regardless of the outcome, we will continue working towards being a greener business and protecting the environment around us.
