EcoStardust First Birthday Party

So that was good! - our 1st Birthday party was an absolute blast. We’d been planning it for a while, and wanted to celebrate how far we’ve come in a year by throwing a special glitter party in Bristol at Glitch Hair Salon to bring together some of our customers and all the people who have helped us to get this far!
Check out our video below showing some of our guests enjoying the event!
The EcoStardust mission is to promote environmental issues and we’re really proud to support various charities by donating 10% of our profits to them. Our current charity is Surfers Against Sewage and £1 from every ticket sale went to the cause, as well as ticket sales for our raffle - which included a bumper hamper of EcoStardust goodies! (of course) and in total, we raised £153 for SAS so well done everyone!
One of the main attractions of the evening was our Glitter Mixing station - and the queue certainly proved that! Our full range of colours and sizes was lined up and ready for the bespoke blends to take shape. Guests took a 6g aluminium tin and then proceeded to mix up the colours that they wanted.

In addition to EcoStardust, and to get everyone in the mood for the festival season, we had two of our favourite local designers showcasing their festival gear… Lexi from Made in the Forest, had a stall piled high with furry animal hats, rainbow fluffy tails, holographic scrunchies and sequin earrings alongside JoJo from BangBangCrash - she’s just moved here from Brighton (sorry guys, your loss is Bristol’s gain!), and her rail of flowery leggings, sequin leotards and stripey dungarees really added a punch of colour as you walked through the door. Look out for these guys this summer!
Amongst our guests were the guys from Made in Bristol TV - when they initially told us they wanted to film the party we did a little happy dance in the office! From 6pm they were filming segments Presenter Jamie Lowe had a brilliant pink and purple glitter explosion on his face and having them there certainly added a bit of hype to the occasion.
Everyone at the party had amazing glitter make-up on their faces - it was so cool to see creations by House of Bendy and Jenna Jazz, which used facepaint, gold/silver leaf and of course our fabulous eco-glitter to make it extra sparkly.

Taking centre stage was the talented Panda from Painted Peach, our body painting buddy who’s worked with us on lots of photoshoots. This time she was doing live glitter body art on our fab model Rhiannon, resulting in a pink and green version of the EcoStardust Eucalyptus icon.

A last minute addition to the team was our awesome DJ, Emily Scott, who was pumping out the feel-good tunes, and along with our prosecco bar, spirits were high. We also had a yummy vegan cake made by our good friend Maud, which was cut after a speech by EcoStardust founder Kath.

Thank you to everyone for coming, our customers and of course the support of all our friends and family who’ve been there over the last year to pack last minute orders, help out at festivals and generally promoting the brand and it’s values to everyone and anyone who will listen!
Here’s to another year of EcoStardust and spreading the word about the benefits of Eco-Glitter for you AND the environment.
Lots of love,
EcoStardust.
